Melting pure platinum

In this video you can follow the melting and pouring of pure platinum using a Topcast TMF/R Melting Furnace.
The process starts with the loading of platinum sheets into the crucible and the placement of a mold (in this case another crucible) .
Then the platinum is heated and melt into the crucible by induction. Then the crucible is rotated by means of an handwheel: the molten platinum is poured into the mold.
